Allied Health Academy

There is a growing demand for health care practitioners with skills in many areas. Multi-skilled health care practitioners are in high demand in our area hospitals, clinics, and medical offices. In August 2017, the Boone Career & Technical Center will begin the Adult Allied Health Academy this fall. This new program will offer up to five certifications within one school year of 44 weeks.

Adults who complete the program could obtain one or more of the following credentials:

The national certification will be administered through National Health Career Association (NHA). Area hospitals and medical offices recognize and prefer NHA-certified employees.
